Old vs. New

  1. Is this progress? Look at the older products. They exude manliness: all business and utility. Knurling, chrome plating or brushed steel.

    The new designs? Sheesh. They look like toys! Somebody just learned CAD. That Gillette Fusion looks like a Dyson vacuum. And the B&D Drill...so many unnecessary lines, and do you really have to brand it twice?

    I know design must evolve and can't stay stuck in the 50s. But do we need to strip such iconic manly products of their cojones?
