  1. It seems almost exclusively the domain of men to put their name on their objects - especially men of rural leanings. I am thinking of tooled leather belts. Carroll Shelby and his "Shelby Cobra." And John Travolta's Bud and Sissy license plates in Urban Cowboy. Although one might also mention the "city" versions: monogrammed sport coats, etched money-clips and custom shirts with initials on the cuff.
