Martian Field Guide is dedicated to understanding masculinity through art, music and design. Posts here represent items that our contributors feel offer commentary and representation of, or insight into, true masculinity.
MFG strives to dispel myths and cliche notions of manliness and get at the inherent, particular nature of a man. Rather than discerning point-by-point guidelines, MFG hopes to frame an understanding of masculinity through the objects and imagery generated by and for male cultures around the world.

Gandhi
A man needs a cause in general. Something to fight for. Something to surmount. Even better if it's a righteous cause.
ReplyDeleteMakes me wonder... Is a man fighting for an un-righteous cause still a man? Was Hitler manly?
